King Street Cats Open House

It's been a year since we re-located and we want to share our new adoption facility with you! Please join us for an open house to celebrate and say thank you to all our wonderful supporters (and say hello to our wonderful cats)!.Light fare and refreshments will be served.

Special guest and long-time King Street Cats volunteer, Allie Phillips, will be on hand with her newly-released book entitled "How Shelter Pets are Brokered for Experimentation: Understanding Pound Seizure". Books will be available for purchase (with a portion of the cost going to King Street Cats) and Allie will be signing the books and raising awareness on this issue.

Cat Adoptions at Petco! 

What: Adult cats!
Where: Petco (Beacon Hill/Alexandria) at 6612 Richmond Highway
When: 1st Saturday of each month from 1-4pm

We are very pleased to announce that King Street Cats was recently invited by Petco to become one of its “adoption partners.”  Move over kittens -- our adorable adult cats will be given the spotlight at the Petco adoptions!

Directions to King Street Cats!!

In July 2009, King Street Cats was sad to say goodbye to our long-time location at 213 King Street. We loved all the interaction with visitors in Old Town. But we are very excited about our new larger location at 25 Dove Street in Alexandria. Listed below are directions. We also have free parking!



Coming from Old Town:
Take Duke Street out of Old Town (heading west). After you pass Whole Foods (on the left), King Street metro (on the right), and the Masonic Temple (on the right), look for a short service road that veers to the right just before the exit to 95/Telegraph/Eisenhower. You will see a Post Office service center on the left.  Take the service road, stop at the sign, turn left and cross over Duke Street. You are now on Dove Street. Take Dove all the way to the end and we are the last building on the left.  

Coming from the West:
Take Duke Street east toward Old Town.  After you pass the on ramp for 95/Telegraph, you will travel under an overpass (Telegraph Road). Take the next road that veers off to the right and that is Dove Street. Follow Dove Street to the end and we are the last building on the left.  

Coming from the Beltway:
Take the exit for Telegraph Road North. Once on Telegraph heading North take the ramp (on the right) for Duke Street heading east.  Once on Duke Street, take the first right road and that is Dove Street. Follow Dove Street to the end and we are the last building on the left.
