Oatmeal & Patches - Now called Sis and Bro and their new family loves them. Both are very happy, content, and enjoying life that includes a fenced in back patio where they can sun themselves.
Patches & Jasmine - Their mom reports that both are doing great! They are very happy and healthy and continue to play play play!
Crayon - He is doing fabulous with his new family. He adores the 2 family dogs and can be found romping with them. He has a screened in porch that he enjoys and the family loves him very much!
Puffy and Tibby ove each other, love their new parents and love their new home! All is going great. TIbby hid at first but now is out
all the time for love and attention although still a little shy; and of course Puffy is not exactly shy!
Sweetie Pie is doing great! I talked to Myron and asked him to
send photos - they love her and vice versa! I am afraid to see
how many toys she has....during her day naps she has a favorite
spot under the bed, but at night as soon as Myron decides it is
time to sleep, Sweetie Pie curls right up!
Hi Folks! Just wanted to give you guys an update on Annabelle, the cat that we adopted there in January.. she's doing well and has become a special part of our family! We even took her down to my parent's house in Tennessee a few weeks ago.. She did fine on the eight hour journey.. and they really want us to bring her again so we might take her back in a couple of weeks...
Thank you guys for the great work that you do in your job! We've really become attached to Annabelle!
Snickers (adopted by Terry Swain a few years ago) - now in a new loving family, with Marshall and Cathy, who adopted her when Terry died suddenly before Christmas. This was a group effort to make sure Snickers went from one loving home to another, without having to return to a shelter. She is very happy in her new home, and sleeps every night with her new “parents.” Snickers was such a blessing to Terry in her later years, and Terry often spoke of how lucky she was to have her, how Snickers changed her life, and how thankful she was to King Street Cats.
Sammy – Sammy's mom adores him and says that he has settled in wonderfully with her other kitties. He loves the other cats and they are all best friends. He's a hefty 17 pounds and very happy!
Friday -- Now on her 2nd home through KSC, Frieda (her new name) has finally found her forever home. Her adopter LOVES her and says Frieda is the most wonderful kitty. There have been no problems and Frieda is doing great!
Blackbeard (one of the Pirate kittens) - He is doing wonderful and his family praises Sally Hazard (KSC volunteer and foster mom to Blackbeard) for raising such a good boy! They love his name and have kept it. Blackbeard has settled in nicely with the family and loves their other cat. He's very happy!
Seymour & Zooey (two of Baby's babies) - In addition to the email that the family just sent today, they said these are the best kitties they have ever known. They are simply adorable and the 2 little girls in the family love them. The girls still think that Santa brought Seymour & Zooey to them, so don't let on that KSC is Santa!!
Ally & Anwyn (babies of Alice, and sisters of Abby and Albert) -- They are now called Ying and Yang which is perfect because Ally is black and Anwyn is white! Their family LOVES them both and they are very happy with them.
Mr. Cindy (now named Patrick) is doing well after a lenthy battle with upper respiratory (which passed back and forth with Bob, another kitty in the home). Patrick and Bob are still figuring out who is the alpha cat, but they play together and Patrick's parents adore him!
Pockets - He is happily living with his new parents! He has gone down from 26 pounds to a healthy 16 pounds!
Fred - Fred is
quite a happy camper! His new mom, Meg, sent us a
note thanking us for letting her adopt him:-) She
said that he is the most calm, tame, affectionate
cat she has had the opportunity to love. Fred, now
goes by the name Dugal, which is a Scottish name
translating to "dark stranger". She found
this to be very fitting, since to her other cat,
Maggie, this is exactly what he is! Either
way, the two have really bonded quite well!
It was very rough at the beginning, as Maggie is
an aggressive Torti and has been an only child for
almost a year.
Thankfully, over the past few
weeks, things have gotten much better and they now
chase one another around the apartment every
morning and evening (which are not necessarily the
most
opportune times). Meg is really grateful
they have one another.
Dugal has found himself loving
and very permanent home. Meg wanted to thank
KSC for all the work we do for these beautiful
and wonderful
cats.
Princess - She has
gone home with her new mom to
Pennsylvania!
Holstein (now called
Pito) - he is doing great and the son
loves him alot!
Percy (our older
black/white boy) - the family adores him!
The 9-year-old daughter carries him around (and he
tolerates it) and he sleeps with her. He has a
great home and is very loved.
Norton & Trixie -
they are both doing great. They have a
Sheltie dog for a sibling and they wrestle with
the dog and sleep on the dog!
Rachel - she
hid under the bed for the first month, so the
family adopted another kitten to help bring her
out. It worked and she is doing fine!
Tweedles - the
lady who adopted Tweedles adores her and Tweedles
has been wonderful during her father's battle with
cancer and death. Tweedles is very happy and has a
wonderful home!
Cashew
- he is doing wonderful, the family loves
him and the other 2 cats in the home have now
adjusted to him playing non-stop (including at
night)!
Chez, Winston
& Annette - the adopter loves all 3
and says they are doing great! Chez became the
surrogate mom to Winston and Annette. Annette
has warmed up and likes to be held. Winston is
still a little skittish, but doing great!
Denzel and
Patti (they were in foster care with Vivian)
- a little boy adopted them and
renamed them Clark and Lois. He loves them so
much and they all sleep with him at
night.
Little Cleo (sister to
Denzel and Patti) - she is doing
great, is quite the little piggy when eating,
and is great with the other cat and dog in the
home. Her new family loves
her!
Baby - Her new family
adores her. Baby has had some medical problems
with intestional blockages and was diagnosed
with megacolon. The family is spending
thousands of dollars on her and she will need
medication for the rest of her life. But they
adore her and will do this for her! Otherwise,
Baby is doing fine and loves her new
family.
Frankie (one
of the basement kitties) - he is still a
little skittish, but loves the husband. The
husband works from home and Frankie keeps him
company all day long and is very happy to have
a constant companion.
Special Kitty
- her new name is Luna (because she's a
girly girl and also a lunatic at times). Luna
drapes her body over her mom's shoulders to
help with the crossword puzzel. It's just the
two of them and Luna has stolen her heart. Both
are very happy!
Tobacco
- he is now named Bo Diddly and is a
well-traveled kitty. His family takes him to
Florida in the winter and he has the privilege
of yachting with them. When Vivian called for
an update, they were all in the car headed to
Florida and the family loves him so much! He's
very happy!
Sunny Girl -
the man who adopted Sunny Girl kept her
name because it fits her personality. He said
she acts like a dog because she constantly
follows him around. He loves her very much and
she is very happy!
Stevie and
Gracie - Stevie was renamed George and
both are doing great. Gracie is getting along
great with the family dog, although George
still isn't sure what kind of creature it is.
The husband especially loves both very very much
and both kitties are very
happy!
Sunshine and Oliver
- Matt adores both and says they are
both loving and outgoing. They are all very
happy!
Creamsicle
Pop: Adopted by Gayle!
Dick and Jane: Adopted by
Nancy and taken home January
27th.
Franny: He has
convinced his foster Mom Susan that he will
never leave so he is officially adopted! (He
brought two toys to bed last night she said to
make it official).
Binx: Adopted by
Jennifer and is moving toNorfolk!
Princess: She will go
home with Chris on January 31st or February 1st.
Duchess: Vicki has officially adopted her and is no longer in foster with her!
Alice &
Abby: "The girls get spoiled all of the
time! Abby still climbs on all kinds of things!
The girls still wrestle at night and Alice just
loves to lay on the floor and hang out during the
day. Alice has really started to become very
personable in the past 2 or so months. It has been
quite nice. Abby is also getting real big. I left
town for 2 days, had a friend stay over and watch
them, came back and I thought to myself "Man, has
she grown." Alice has lost some weight which I
think is do to the running up and down the stairs
mainly!"
Shadow
and Stumpy (11 year old black siblings
with the stubby tails): They were adopted
together and their new mom says they are THE
BEST! She cannot imagine life without them,
they are perfect, they sleep with her, and
everything is great! Shadow Girl gained a
little weight (12 pounds now) and looks
beautiful. Stumpy has been renamed to Sweet
Pea to match his personality. Both are
healthy and thriving.
Sadie (who
came to us over the summer with 4 babies)
is very loved by her new dad. Says
Sadie is PERFECT, he loves her, adores her and
says she is very happy. The only thing Sadie
is working on learning is how to work the computer
... otherwise she is perfect!
Cleo & 86
(16 year old kitties): They were
adopted together and now live the life of luxury
in The Carlyle. 86's name was changed but
both are happy, healthy and thriving. Their
new mom loves them so much and says they both look
gorgeous!
Titi (large
Siamese that was with us last Christmas and was
very depressed): Her new mom says
Titi is as sassy and overweight as ever. It
took awhile for Titi to warm up to a new home, but
now Titi is very happy. The adopter said
that Titi saved her life (because her mom had
passed away) and for that she is very grateful to
have Titi in her life.
Noah &
Buff: They were adopted together
and their new mom loves them and says they are
doing GREAT!
Q-Tip &
Simon: The boys are now safe and sound
with their new mom- Rita! The boys made a safe
journey to Germany and Rita reports that "they are
fine and so loving, it's like they always been
here."
Other kitties that
are happy and doing very well are Holden (the
first of Baby's babies to get adopted); Koi (from
the infamous Lake/Fish family, Trout & Perch's
brother); and Cara (the mom to Mr. Cindy, Currie,
Cece and Colletta). |
