A MESSAGE FROM HUDSON'S DAD:

Hi everyone - I am a life long animal lover who is being forced to rehome/foster my adult cat due to some family issues. 

I found Hudson and his brothers and sisters when they were babies under a barrel in Hoboken, NJ (in a lot with stray cats that I helped care for).  I brought them to the local animal shelter where they were socialized.  We adopted Hudson and have had him ever since. 

Due to the break up of our marriage, I need to rehome him (or perhaps foster somewhere until I move to a bigger house).  He is truly the most social and affectionate cat I have ever come across, so much so that we nicknamed him 'dog cat' because acts a lot like a dog. 

A few years ago, he had a bad urinary tract infection, which required surgery.  He got the 'full' surgery and is now ok, but does need special food for life (see below, I will pay for this food).  

I realize that it is hard to find a home for an adult cat.  I offer to the following to whoever will take him in and keep him as an indoor cat:

• I will pay for his food, litter, etc. for life
• I will pay for his vet bills for life
• I will make a donation to the animal related charity of our choice on a yearly basis.

Hello friends! My name is Hudson, and I want to start by thanking you for reading my daddy's message. As you can see, I am a beloved family member and my dad wants the absolute best for me. He's willing to finance my adventures in this life in hopes of finding me the best new home that he possibly can. Let me tell you more about myself!

I just may be THE most affectionate boy you will ever meet. I am spunky eight (8) year old with beautiful silvery fur and lovely tabby stripes and swirls in all the right places. I bring you 15 pounds of love, love, love. I am a total sponge when it comes to soaking up your affection and I will begin purr, purr, purring as soon as I see you walk into the room.

I live with another kitty right now and we get along pretty well. I live with children, so they would not be a problem for me in your home. I have never met a dog, but I might be OK given my overall wonderful disposition. 

My daddy says that I am very "dog-like" - and he means that as the highest compliment! I am extremely social and will follow you around everywhere. I'm very playful too. I like all the people that come to visit our house - THAT'S how social I am.

I'm active and happy and I don't give any thought to my age. You shouldn't either! Eight years old is nothing in the life of a beloved house cat. As my dad mentioned, I had a urinary blockage. This is not that uncommon in boy cats. I received the best veterinary care, had successful surgery, and I am in perfect health right now. You will need to feed me the special food that my daddy will help you pay for - it's important that I eat the correct food to maintain my urinary tract health! Other than my special food, I ask that you always keep me indoors. That's all!

My daddy loves me immensely - you will too - and he wants me to find the purrfect home. I am currently living in North Arlington, Virginia but we can very easily make arrangements for you to meet me.
