Hi friends! M y name is Cassie. I'm a little kitten ( born in April 2017) but wow - I've  had an exciting life so far!   

I'm coming to you from the U.S. Virgin Island of St. Croix.  That's where I was born, weaned and spayed. I got on a plane - Air Kitten Airlines - to come to Virginia because everyone knows King Street Cats helps lovebugs like me find the best forever homes. I reported for duty at a loving KSC foster home where I was accepted by and become wonderful friends with two other foster kittens named Allie and April. 

You may be wondering how an island kitty ended up in Virginia. I can answer that!  Years ago a devoted friend and supporter of KSC who spends time in the U.S. Virgin Islands realized that island kitties all share traits that make us highly adoptable, yet our chances in the local public shelter weren't in our favor. Since then she's brought many of us here to Alexandria where we melt right into the hearts of KSC's adoptive families.  

I am a beautiful brown tabby little girl with silvery threads running through my coat and the most adorable spots on my sleek little belly. I share the traits of a traditional St. Croix kitty: we are smaller in stature (and probably always will be), we are long and lean like little greyhounds, we are affectionate, outgoing, friendly, curious, playful, enjoy our new human friends, are full of energy and have a great zest for life. Our only unique requirement is that we like a little drink umbrella in our water bowls. OK, that's just a tropical joke for you!

I love playing with my two kitten friends, Allie and April. It's extremely beneficial for an energetic and social kitten like me to have same-species companionship. If you are able to open your heart and home to another deserving KSC kitty and take us home together, everyone would win. If not, I'd be very happy if you have a willing and playful friend at home who will not be threatened by my presence.

A young girl like me needs a four-footed friend to exercise and play with, to groom, to teach me the limits of acceptable feline behavior, to make me feel safe and secure when you can't be with me, and to stimulate my mind and keep my body active and healthy.

I love to play with wand toys, toy mice, balls and anything that crinkles. The truth is that all toys make me very happy. I love to be petted and to have my neck rubbed - I will immediately turn my very loud purr machine on. I'm affectionate, friendly, happy, energetic and playful. In other words, I'm everything a wonderful kitten should be.
