PLUSH, INDEPENDENT AND CHATTY BOY WILL FOLLOW YOU AROUND DURING THE DAY AND SETTLE IN WITH YOU AT NIGHT

Hello friends! My name is Bert. I am a plush, velvety boy with a gorgeous solid silvery coat and bright green eyes. I am three (3) years old and I get along with friends of the feline and canine persuasion. I am going to make a fabulous family boy!

I was welcomed into the King Street Cats family from a shelter in eastern Maryland when my person had to downsize and wasn't able to take me or my four footed friends along. I'd been living with a cat and dog. 

My favorite thing to do is to meow at the birds flying by out the window. If you have a window for me, I will station myself there and monitor all avian activity for you! I am very chatty and I like to vocalize. I'll let you know when there's bird activity to behold.

I'm going to really enjoy following you around, chatting as we go. I'll tell you all about my day. I need to be a part of your life and your activities.

I am, however, an independent boy. I don't like to be picked up. I would not be happy in a home where children or visitors felt compelled to pick me up or touch me too much because I can get overstimulated and nippy. I need a purrson who understands cat body language well and will instinctively know when it's time to stop petting me. It's very important to me that you don't take my nipping behavior personally because I am going to love you. I just can't help it when I become overstimulated or things don't go exactly as I had in mind. I want you to redirect my behavior (but never act punitively!) when this happens to remind me how to be the very best Bert that I can be. 

To prove my point about how much I'm going to love you, I am a cuddle bug and I hope you will let me cozy up to you on the bed at night so we can stay comfy and warm together. You don't have to pick me up (please, no) and put me on the bed - I'll find my way up there and pick the best spot to nestle myself into. I give my whole heart once I connect with you and I am extremely devoted. You will have a loyal companion for life.

Don't forget that I'm alright with other four footed friends as well.
