LOVABLE LAP CAT WANTS TO SHARE HIS
EASY-GOING PURRSONALITY AND LOVE WITH YOU

Hello friends! My name is Norfolk. I am a loving honey-colored tabby boy with a wonderful purrsonality. As soon as I meet you I'm to figure out how I can sneak onto your lap so we can cuddle and start loving each other. That's what I'm all about.

I was living with a colony of cats outdoors. A kind person recognized my special affinity for my four-legged friends and brought me to a public shelter.

This is where I sing the praises of King Street Cats because they answered the call to come to my rescue! They knew two things: that cats like me often won't make it out of public shelters, and that I am a wonderful boy with a loving disposition who deserves a forever home where I can be a cherished family member. How lucky could I get?

As a consequence of living with many feral cats, I was most likely bitten at some point and developed FIV, Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. Now stay with me here! FIV is not human AIDS. It is not feline AIDS. Humans do not contract FIV. Dogs do not contract FIV. It is transmitted from cat to cat through deep puncture bite wounds. This is not the end of my world - in fact, I'm here at KSC waiting to meet you because my world is just beginning.

I will have to be an only cat, or live with a cat who is also FIV+, or live with nice dogs. Dogs do NOT catch FIV. Humans do NOT catch FIV. I'll depend on you to observe my health carefully, feed me the most nutritious food, establish a trusting relationship with a vet who is knowledgeable about FIV, and keep me indoors so that I do not come into contact with other cats.

My King Street Cats friends will be more than happy to answer any questions you have about FIV. There is no reason why I cannot live a normal life span. Many FIV+ cats do.

I am five (5) years old, which is a wonderful adoption age. I've matured into this affectionate, easy-going purrsonality that distinguishes me and wins over all the new friends I make. I'm interested in quality bonding time with you. We'll leave the kitten escapades to the kittens!

I love attention and affection so much that I will "bunt" you (in other words, head-butt you) to signal that you are my special one and I want to be with you. I want to snuggle up next to you while you relax. I want to follow you around to see what you're up to and provide you with quiet, mellow companionship.

I'm a handsome honey-colored boy with bright eyes that change from green to gold depending in the light. I've got tabby swirls and marks running through my fur and I'm sporting snowy white mittens, matching boots, a tuxedo, a warm silky white tummy and a pretty white blaze on my nose.

Speaking of noses, I've got a pastel pink one that I'll nudge you with when I want to remind you how much I love to be hugged and petted.

Please come to meet me! I know there's a reason my luck changed so dramatically – it's because there's a loving KSC forever home awaiting me. My friends at KSC will answer your questions about FIV. It's easy to get started: send an email to contact@kingstreetcats.org and ask for me, Norfolk. Thank you!

Affectionately yours,
Norfolk
