Hello friends! My name is Dakota. I was on the streets of DC when a kind person found me and took me to a shelter. They were crowded and busy and ... I almost didn't make it out alive. It's inconceivable.

I'm a KSC family boy now and my bew volunteer friends adore me. I am a staff favorite known for my friendly disposition, affection for my human friends and my unique conversational style.

That's right, I love to talk! Wait until you hear me. I have my own language comprising chirps, trills, meows and little melodies. Everyone smiles and laughs and becomes instantly happy when I talk to them, so I do it as often as possible. I can't wait to talk to you.

I am a lovebug. I enjoy my human friends soooooo much! I've never given anyone a problem, even given the early stress and uncertainty that defined my life prior to joining the King Street Cats family.

To top it off, my KSC friends often talk about how darn handsome I am. I don't mean to brag, but I overhear them say this a lot! I'm part brown tabby with a lot of snowy white, silky fur. My fur is short in length but super soft and plush. You'll love petting me. I have bright spring green eyes that'll melt your heart.

I am one (1) year old, which is a perfect adoption age! I would be fine as your "one and only." I'd also be fine with another mellow, non-aggressive kitty who would not be threatened by my presence.
