My name is Carmen. I was found as a kitten living alone underneath a hotel deck. I was cold, hungry and scared. My luck turned and a kind person connected me with King Street Cats. I was adopted at 8 months by a loving family. My “mom” had a baby a few months ago. I quickly became sad I couldn’t be the center of attention anymore. So I’m back at King Street Cats hoping to find a family that can shower me with the attention and love I deserve.
Everyone tells me I’m the nicest cat they’ve ever met. I’m social, friendly, and eager to please. I would love to lay next to you on the couch or curl up at the foot of your bed at night. And I’m a great telework companion too. I’m most happy when you are paying attention to me – softly rubbing my belly, scratching the base of my tail, or hiding a string underneath tissue paper or a rug for me to “hunt.” I’ll love you and want you to love me back. Let’s keep each other company!
I’m a pretty girl too. I have the softest fur, and the most beautiful green eyes. I’m an excellent communicator. I like to talk and let you know what I think!
I would love to be your one and only pet, and would thrive in a home without young children.
Yes I am FIV+, which means that I have Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. You cannot catch it, and my care requirements are no different from what any cat lover does for his or her cat companions. FIV can only be spread from one cat to another cat through deep-puncture bite wounds.
Here's what I'll need in terms of care:
- I'll need you to feed me a high quality diet (preferably a grain-free, high-protein canned/wet food);
- I'll need you to come to know my behaviors so that you can notice changes that may be health-related;
- I'll need you to develop a good working relationship with a veterinarian who is current on FIV issues, and seek that veterinarian's assistance if you notice any changes in my behavior;
- I'll need you to provide me with regular veterinary care;
- I'll need you to keep me indoors so that I am not exposed to feral cats or wild animals.
That's all. Wouldn't you do that for any kitty? I thought so!
Would you like me to be your one and only? If so please email King Street Cats a s make arrangements to meet me. I’ll be waiting for you!
