STUNNING AND SNUGGLY GIRL IS SO HAPPY THAT SHE CHIRPS!

Rosie is a petite, adorable 2-to-3-year-old long-haired calico beauty who came to KSC as an owner surrender when her owner could no longer care for her. With her gorgeous green eyes, and her Maine-coon-like ear tufts and tufts between her toe pads, she is stunning -- and utterly happy. But she did not come to KSC that way.

Rosie was covered with flea bites, scalded by sitting in her own urine, underweight, anemic and terrified. We rushed her immediately to the vet, where she spent several weeks. Then she came down with a severe URI and stopped eating. We weren't about to give up on this tiny little girl, so Rosie went home with one of our fosters experienced with sick cats who wouldn't eat.

Once in foster, she blossomed! She recovered from her URI and her loving, funny personality began to emerge. Within a few weeks, she had gained nearly 2 pounds and was bounding through the house with her special brand of joy, delighting her foster family and annoying the resident cats with her playful and feisty spirit.

Looking at her today, it's hard to believe we weren't sure she'd even make when she first came to KSC. She'll greet you with chirps, zoom down the hallway, do a few floor donut spins and then move in for cuddles and snuggles.
