Hi I’m Yasmine! I somehow wound up at a county shelter. A short while after arriving at the shelter the workers went to feed me and found two newborn kittens in my cage! They were very underweight and probably premature; I was so skinny that nobody knew I was pregnant. Lucky for me King Street Cats took me in and sent me to one of their fabulous foster homes.
When I finally made it to my foster family, I didn’t stop purring for a full day-I was that happy to be somewhere safe! Even after what I’d gone through, I was completely trusting of humans with my newborns and couldn’t get enough snuggles. It was hard to raise babies all on my own, especially ones as tiny as these. I spent the next few months caring for my daughter and getting healthy, and I even adopted another orphan kitten.
I’m a very mellow cat, gorgeous and dignified. I’m very respectful of human things—I don’t knock stuff off tables or make a mess—and I’m happy to get attention, or to just nap in the chair next to you. My fur is incredibly soft and the perfect length: beautiful, but not so long that it gets everywhere! I do okay with other cats, but I’d be just as happy to be your one and only.
