Hello friends! My name is Kanab. I'm a five year old little girl who was originally welcomed into the King Street Cats family when I was found wandering alone in an alley in Washington, D.C. That's mosg certainly not the life I was meant for. My destiny is as a cherished member of your family!

In case you're wondering about my name, Kanab is the name of a town in Utah where a large no-kill animal sanctuary is located.  Each animal there can be assured of loving attention for the rest of his or her life, and that's exactly what I'm looking for right now. 

I was born in Fall 2012 so I am a young five (5) years old. I've got short and silky jet black fur with gorgeous golden eyes. I'm so determined to charm you that I even asked for some extra special polishing just before my photo was taking. You can see that I'm was still glistening when the photographer arrived.

My friends at King Street Cats consider me to be a very well adjusted and pleasant little lady who would do fine both as your "one and only" and with another cat or cats. I'd love to be a constant presence and faithful friend who will greet you when you come home and make you feel more relaxed when you hear my nice purr.

I lived as a family girl for several years until my human's circumstances changed. My person and my KSC friends assure you that this is no reflection upon me whatsoever. I was a very good girl and a faithful and constant companion to my human.

If you will be my new purrson and give me my forever home, I will bring my laid-back, easy-going, mellow and companionable affection right into your home and brighten your days. I'd be fine as your "one and only," or perhaps with another accepting, mellow kitty friend who would not be offended by my presence and wouldn't threaten me. I have a peaceful, harmonious personality and that's the environment where I thrive.
