RELAXED, "ZEN LIKE" SENIOR BOY IS FULL OF AFFECTION - SO DEVOTED TO HIS HUMAN THAT HE'LL ALWAYS HAVE ONE PAW TOUCHING YOU TO PROVE HIS LOVE! (HE GETS ALONG WITH OTHER CATS, TOO)

Hi there friend, my name is Rodney! I am a relaxed, easy-going, “Zen” cat.  There isn’t much that bothers me, and I get along with pretty much everyone.  I looove to sleep next to my person, and because I’m aware of my weight (a hefty 13 pounds)  I’ll only sit half on / half off of your lap unless you pick me up and put me on your lap.  I do love to snuggle, so I’ll always have at least one paw touching you. 

Now I AM a senior, but my age is debatable.   All my blood work came back normal and unlike most of the seniors here I don’t need any medication.   My parents were on their way to Florida and they decided to unload me and my brother Ripken! Ripken has already been adopted – thank you to that kind family! They said I am very old, but my foster mom and the vet find that hard to believe.  Usually you can tell a cat’s age by the teeth, but since I don’t have any (I’ll never tell you how I lost them) and there isn’t paperwork back to my birth, I could be as young as 14-15.  Regardless, I’m a healthy, affectionate, old man. 

You can see my best friend, Duchess, in the picture of us eating dinner.  She’s a 3 year old calico also up for adoption at King Street Cats.  It would be great if you adopted us together, but even if you can only take one of us we sure would appreciate it.  I’ve also included a picture of me sharing my basket with a Siamese (sorry, he’s not up for adoption) to show you how well I get along.   I know some folks may be wary of adopting older cats, but I’m healthy and would love an opportunity to smother you in affection.
