Hello friends! My name is Nike, and I am a tiny tortoiseshell beauty coming to you from Ft. Belvoir, VA. I was wandering around outdoors, all by myself, when a kind purrson noticed me, and realized that it was my destiny to become the best friend of a lucky human - like you!

I'm a chocolate tortie with caramel in my short, soft fur. I have an adorable round face with bright eyes that change from green to gold depending on the lighting conditions. My veterinarian friend thinks that I am about two and a half (2.5) years old. What a great age at which to adopt me!

You may have heard about the famous attitude of tortoiseshell cats known as "tortitude." Of course I have a bit of this to share with you - I have to uphold the reputations of torties everywhere! Tortitude means that I occasionally have some ideas about how the world should work, and I might treat you to some of my tortie talk in hopes of convincing you. Don't worry, my new friends here at KSC have already recognized that I am a sweetheart above all else. I love my people. I'd like to follow you around and know what you're doing, but I won't be in the way. When it's dinner time, I'll follow you to the kitchen and wait patiently while you prepare my feast.

I like to let my KSC friends know what hey mean to me. I do this by soliciting head rubs and "bunting" them. Bunting is that affectionate thing cats do when they bump into with their heads. We're claiming you as ours because you smell good, you give off nice vibes, and we want to make this known! We do it by bunting you. I am already known as a champion bunter here!
