"BEST BONDED PAIR" OF BEAUTIFUL KITTEMS WILL STEAL YOUR HEART!

Hello friends, my name is Toivo.  As you may have noticed, I'm a true lovebug of a kitten and I'm here with my sister Mikka. We're a bonded pair of best buddies dreaming of being adopted into our forever home together as a pair. We've been living with a wonderful foster family that includes four resident felines. Our experienced foster parents are certain that we are the best kittens born in 2015 - and here we are for the New Year ready to steal your heart!

We were born at the end of July 2015 so we've just turned five (5) months old.

Let me tell you about my sister Mikka. Although it may not show well in the pictures, she's actually a tricolor girl with a good bit of cinnamon spice color in her tabby coat, along with the a silvery mocha and cream.  The combination is very, very pretty - she's beautiful.  She's fearless, adventurous and she loves to explore! She loves her toy mice, her Greenie treats and her gorgeous brother - that's me! When not playing soccer with anything that moves or roughhousing with me (I outweigh her by 2+ pounds, which does not concern her at all) she wants to cuddle with her people and/or sleep. She's not technically a lap cat, but she looooves to be close and push her little body against the warmth of her favorite person of the moment.  When she falls asleep, it's a deep, happy sleep.

Mikka is extremely helpful when our foster parents are at the computer, especially when there is a Lumosity game that she can disrupt.  She'll stretch out next to (or on) our fosters and watch television.

In addition to loving her people, she loves me.  We are truly bonded—when Mikka is getting petted I will run to get in on the action, often plopping down right on top of her - and she'll do the same.  No bother, we are completely comfortable sharing the same space to the full extent that the laws of physics allow. She loves to play with her favorite mice and catnip cigar.  When she sees a glass of water, she'll stick her head right into the glass to get a drink.

Let me tell you about myself! My foster parents say that I am the handsomest male cat they have ever run across. I have a jet black and incredibly soft and velvety smooth coat.  I am a real lover! I love to be picked up and held - and I'm not shy about asking by stretching up your leg with my front paws extended as far as I can reach.  When I was younger, I had an endearing (but painful) tendency to climb all the way to your shoulders but I don't do that anymore.

When you pick me up, I break into full-bore purr before my feet leave the ground.  I like to be  cradled, and I like being draped on your shoulder - anything to be close and get some strokes from my folks.  I even put my people before my breakfast.  When the door to my night time retreat is opened, I bolt out the door and then immediately stop to wait for a pet from my person.  Once the obligatory pet is delivered - I'm gone.

I must have been a river cat in a previous life.  I love being around, and splashing in water.  Open the shower door when you are finished, and I shoot in to pad around and sit on the wet floor.  Leave a glass of water out, my paw is in the water splashing it out.  I need a heavy water bowl—otherwise I will tip it to see the water flow out (our foster parents put my water in a pan to protect the floor).   Myfavorite toy is a cat tunnel, into which I dive at full speed.  I like diving into the openings at the ends, and the cutouts in the middle of the tunnel.  I have a favorite squeaky mouse that I love to play soccer with, and to carry around in my mouth.

We can both become a bit shy around strangers, but our foster parents think we will adapt very well.  We took to them instantly, and they have no doubt that we will do the same with our forever family.

We were around the four adult cats who reside permanently in our foster home beginning a few weeks after our foster parents brought us home.  We were never disturbed by the older cats, and for the most part we ignored them.  We certainly never showed fear around them.

If you have questions about either of us, our foster parents would be happy to talk to you about us - they love us very much.  They know that we will makeour lucky forever family very happy for a long, long time. They have several toys, a cat tunnel and a cat bed that don't fit into our space here at King Street Cats but these can be transferred to you when we go to our forever home.

Wonderfully yours,
Toivo (with Mikka)
