Patches (our record-setting girl!) Patches, King Street Cats' longest resident, has her photo ornament hanging in a good spot on the Christmas tree! smile emoticon Andy and I are absolutely thrilled that this sweet girl is now a part of our family, and we thank everyone at KSC for all the love and care you gave her while she was with you! â¡â¡â¡
Tweedle Dee When I first met Pamina (fka Tweedle Dee), she was sweet, but obviously very nervous and shy. I had an instant connection with her, and knew quickly she was the kitty for me. Even when I adopted her, one of the volunteers, although happy she was going home, cautiously let me know that she'd never chosen to leave her cage during her entire time there, and although she hoped she would relax in a new, stable environment, it wasn't for sure. I knew patience would be a big part of helping her feel comfy in her new home, but even I worried a little when, after a whole month, she still would hardly come out from under the couch at all. It has taken time, and she still has a cautious temperament, but these days, she loves basking in the sunshine, playing with her toys, getting pets, and generally following me around the house. I'm so thankful to KSC, because I think a kitty with her personality might not have had the chance at adoption at more traditional shelters.
Otter He feels like he's been in our family FOREVER. The transition has been so quick and easy. I have to commend you on the knowledge of your cats. He is the perfect cat for us. So affectionate, confident, independent, and sweet. He is easy going and the biggest love bug ever. He almost started to snuggle with the dog the other day. One of my hesitations is that he would scratch my furniture. Not our sweet boy. He's so appropriate (knowing exactly what to do) and has learned the rules of the house so quickly. He likes to drink out of the dog's water bowl (never mind the other bowl on the ground we bought for him), shows a keen interest in art, loves a lap to snuggle on...even a crazy 4 year old's lap. We are simply all in love with him. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! Please let your volunteers know that he is loved fiercely by three great kids (the adults too) and tolerated by the dog (she would roll her eyes if she knew how). We simply adore him.
Ron 2015 Ron (now Oliver) is making himself at home and settling in very nicely in his first week with me.
Halley & Sandy I adopted them at the end of 2012, and couldn't be happier. I love them to bits! They are super cuddly and playful - the perfect kitties! Thank you, KSC for rescuing my sweet girls! Click a letter to find an animal or view all.
