Buchanan

I wanted a lap cat. Bingo. The rest of the time he tears around killing pipe cleaners.

Bailey

Normally I let Sweet Potato Bailey Burns write these, but she's busy bathing. Once known as simply Bailey, I knew she was our missing element the moment we met... She knew too and made clear when she bopped me on the head when I couldn't spot her in the cat room and then when she came and sat on the paperwork while we filled it out. She's definitely not a typical cat (though I'm not sure one exists). She's 6 and a half but plays like a kitten...she keeps the claws in during their mock battles, but Bill/Dad still has the scratches to prove it. Like me, she's chatty and loves a soft blanket (though I've never felt the need to knead and bathe them). She's incredibly attuned to emotion and always shows up the moment you need love or support. And she has so much love to give. Her favorite place is right between Bill and me on the back of the couch... Thank you to KSC for making sure we found each other. Life would not be the same if we hadn't.

Bacon 2016

Some of you may remember how very sick Bacon was as he battled MRSA and other health-related issues. Dear Simone had some long-standing behavioral issues that made it very difficult for her to find a home. But, along came their guardian angel in the form of one of our awesome volunteers Wendy. And as you can see, they are now both thriving in their forever home. It's amazing what love can do

Buffy (bonded with Diana)

Our King Street Cats Linus and Lucy (Buffy and Diana) just turned three, and we thought you might like to see some photos. We love them lots and are super grateful to KSC for sending them our way. Their personalities are very different, and they love to fight over the prime nap spots, but eventually they wear themselves out and show that sibling love. The handmade beds we bought at the fundraiser at Robcyn’s two weeks ago were a huge hit, as you can see! Lucy (tortie) loves to play kibble hockey on the kitchen floor and LOUDLY demand belly rubs on the cat tree in our bedroom, with no regard to mom and dad’s grueling work from home schedule. Linus (tabby) thinks mom is much better at playing “byrb” (feather on stick) than dad, but he’ll take any attention he can get. Thank you again KSC and keep up the great work you do!

Brass

Brass is now named Mavis, and Copper is named Leela. They're both settling in so well to their new home, and have completely won over our grumpy old senior cat! He's enjoying a Renaissance of his youth and loves playing pounce games with the girls, who always find a way to get into just the right amount of mischief. We love having them around!
