Hello friends! I'm Eli, a handsome three (3) year old mackerel tabby here with my best friend Jess, a rare and lovely four (4) year old honey-colored tabby. We found ourselves in a desperate situation at a Maryland shelter that was closing. King Street Cats saw in us that special something that develops into lifelong love and friendship and took us into the KSC family to guve us the chance to find our own forever home. We've become best friends and dream of being adopted together. 

We're young with our whole lives ahead of us, yet we've also matured into our personalities. We are both extremely sweet and quiet with a touch of shyness. We love it when our soft-spoken volunteer friends give us head rubs and chin scratches - we purrrr in appreciation. We like to stay close to one another and watch all the activity here at the busy KSC cat room. 

By adopting us together, not only will have gain two loyal family members who will be happy to welcome you home each day, but you'll also be providing us with what helps a cat to thrive - a friend of the same species who can provide hours of play, exercise, behavior modification, comfort, grooming and companionship for the times when you can't be with us. 

Jess is a lovely honey-colored girl with large round golden eyes and orange tabby stripes in her fur. Orange girls are a bit rare; this color is more common in male cats. Orange cats are known to make some of the best companion animals - I'm not kidding you! I'm a striking mackerel tabby with warm brown fur and the dark chocolate stripes and swirls that give the mackerel pattern its name. 

We know we're going to blossom in our own peaceful home where we can enjoy each other's company and provide you with calm companionship and something warm and happy to look forward to each time you return home.
