Hi friends!  My name is Maryland!  I was found with my Mommy, Temple, and my siblings when I was just a tiny kitten, outside in Temple, MD, living in an air conditioning unit.  My Mommy and all of my siblings are named after places in Maryland to honor where we were found and rescued from. 

We all immediately went into a wonderful foster family where we have been happy, safe, dry, and warm. We get to play with lots of toys while we grow big and strong.  Here is a video of us when we first got to our new foster home: https://youtu.be/xcIBr_INSSI

I am very much attached to and in love with my mommy, Temple. We want to be adopted together into the same loving home as a bonded pair.  There are many benefits for both humans and felines when adopting two compatible cats together. This is especially true when adopting a kitten or in the case of a bonded pair like my mom and me.

I have an extremely sweet purrsonality. I am super playful and love to play with and carry around my toys.  I love sniffing new things and being around people. My mom is a nurturing and affectionate young lady. We both always run to get extra love from our foster mommy every time she comes home. We would prefer a quite home without young children as my Mommy can be shy, but incredibly affectionate once she gets to know you.  We both love to have our bellies rubbed and cheeks and chins scratched.  I like to stretch out on the floor on my back and get belly rubs.  I also like to be picked up, but Mommy only likes to be next to you. I think she might be afraid of heights, but I am not so you can hold me all you want to!  We both would do great with other cats as we have met our foster mommy’s cats and love them very much. 

Some of our favorite things to do are to get lots of love and snuggles from humans and play with toys like laser lights and strings.  We also love milk bottle tops, curled up pipe cleaners, and puff balls.  I also really like a little fish toy I got when I was just a little baby.  I carry it around like a puppy sometimes: https://youtu.be/ry5jcysZiJw

I am a gorgeous little brown taby girl with big golden eyes and very exotic swirls and stripes in my fur. You probably won't see another tabby coat as lovely and distinctive as mine. My mom is a beautiful jet black girl with a short, soft, plush coat and amazingly bright green eyes.
