KSC has a long history of helping cats that other shelters or rescue organizations often cannot, in particular senior and special medical and/or behavioral needs cats and kittens.

However, it can take more time to find forever homes for these extra special cats. Still, we must find them homes in order to open up the space for other cats who desperately need rescuing.

How can you help?

• If you are looking to add a senior and/or special needs cat to your family, please visit us and meet our featured cats
• Or contact us if you are interested in long-term fostering a special cat(s) -- KSC provides the vetting, you provide the home and TLC
• Help us by telling friends, family, co-workers. and neighbors about us and encourage them to consider adopting a senior and/or special needs cat
• Please consider making a donation to help us promote our senior and special need cats

*Please note:  We do not adopt outside the metro DVM region. Many of our cats come from high-kill shelters outside the metro DVM in MD/VA, so if you live there, you would be literally saving a life by going directly to the shelters near you.
