TWO LOVING, INSEPARABLE BEST FRIENDS WILL BRING DOUBLE THE HAPPINESS INTO YOUR HOME

Hello friends, my name is Vincent! A long time ago (you know, maybe 2 years?) in a faraway place (called Maryland) my best friend Downy and I formed a lifelong bond that will warm your heart. We are inseparable best friends who thrive in each others' company. We're looking for a forever home where we can show you how wonderful it is to rescue two deserving feline friends.

At some point, we found ourselves outside in the great outdoors. Everything was uncertain. We met mean cats. We were afraid, but we clung to one another. And then...

... one of the kindest people you could imagine fed us for well over a year.  Not long ago we were rescued and introduced to King Street Cats. Now everything's changed for the better - we're safe, loved, enjoying each others' company as much as always... and our new volunteer friends promise us that our very own purrson(s) will hear about us and take us home to a castle of our own!

I'm about four (4) years old and Downy is about two (2) years old. I've always mentored Downy and he follows me lead. I taught him that it's a very good thing to trust human friends. He discovered the bliss of being a lap cat! He wants to snuggle in your lap, warm you up and purrrrr with happiness for you.

Downy is an absolutely gorgeous long-haired silvery boy with a snowy white tuxedo! As you can see, he is sporting a "lion cut" right now because his stunning long fur had become tangled and matted. When it grows out you are going to see the most handsome little man you can imagine!

I am a soft, short-haired, plush chocolate tabby with bold stripes and swirls. I am a friendly, agreeable boy who enjoys people and has excellent manners.

When we were fending for ourselves outdoors, a mean cat attacked me. I was bitten deeply by this cat, who transmitted Feline Immunodeficiency Virus to me. We describe this as being "FIV+."

This is what you need to know about me and my FIV+ status:

• FIV is not Feline Aids.
• FIV is not human HIV. Humans cannot catch FIV. Dogs cannot catch FIV.
• FIV is transmitted through deep-bite puncture wounds.
• Two agreeable cats (such as we are), one with FIV and the other without, can live happily together (we are proof of this!)
• At some point in their lives, FIV+ cats may, or may not, develop a heightened susceptibility to the ailments that all felines face.

My FIV+ care requirements are as follows - and are no different than what we'd ask you to provide any cat you bring into your home:

• Feed me a healthy, high quality high protein/grain free (preferably wet food only, because this is so much healthier than dry food)  
• Keep me indoors and away from combative cats
• Establish a relationship with a trusted veterinarian (who is enlightened about FIV).
• Visit my vet regularly and any time when you notice that I'm not feeling or acting like myself (this means getting to know me well enough to understand what "acting like myself" means)
