THERE ARE FEW THINGS AS TERRIFIC AS A TINY LITTLE TORTIE!

Hello friends! My name is Topaz. I'm a young baby girl tortie kitten! Could you fall in love with the sweetest and most adorable love bug around? If you say yes, then we need to meet right away!

I'm a tiny little girl of about nine months (months!) old. I was found outdoors when I was even tinier. I was cold and shivering! It was no way to live when you have as much love to give as I do.

The luckiest thing happened - I was brought into the King Street Cats family. My new volunteer friends have fallen in love with my irresistible cuteness, my playfulness and my obvious affection for friends both human and feline.

Tortoiseshell cats, or "torties," are unique! We're easily recognized for our beautiful and distinctive coats in a very dark chocolatey brown that almost appears black with honey and caramel colored patches. We have green eyes that occasionally turn gold depending on the lighting. I have the sweetest little round face you will find, and I know it'll be love at first sight!

Torties are known for our "tortitude," the special sense of tortie pride we display when we wrap you around our little paws. Torties like tortie talk - we're very chatty with wide ranging vocabularies featuring purrs, meows, chirps, tweets, and other expressive sounds. We love to converse with our human friends.

I'm a very friendly, affectionate and playful girl. I love to play with both my feline friends here at KSC and with my human friends who pet me, give me little chin scratches, compliment me and tell me how wonderful I am.

I'd love to go home with one of my kitten friends here at KSC, or to a willing young kitty at your house who'd be willing to play with me. Same-species companionship is extremely beneficial for highly social, interactive and playful kittens like me. Having a compatible feline friend allows us to exercise, play, explore, groom, learn and relax with a buddy who makes us feel more confident and secure. There's less for you to worry about when you cannot be with us.

Please consider adopting me with one of my many deserving feline playmates!

I'm going to make the most wonderful addition to your life. The friend who's helping my type my story adopted a King Street Cats tortie several years ago and describes the experience in superlative terms. Torties are very special - that's a fact!

Please come and meet me. Send an email to contact@kingstreetcats.org and ask for me, Topaz. We're going to have so much fun together.

Wonderfully yours,
Topaz
